The 2011 Kenya Natioanl Scout Competitions, Rover Challenge and Youth Forum shall atke place from 31st August to 4th September at the Rowallan National Scouts Camp in Nairobi. This is an annual event that brings together teams that won at the Provincial level that took place between 15th and 19th June 2011 in the Chipukizi/Junior, Mwamba/Senior and Jasiri/Rover sections from all over the country.
As has been our long standing tradition, DUE TO OUR HARDWORK, the Unit produced the best boys teams in all the three categories in the entire Coast Region. As a result the Unit shall be fully reprsented at the National Competitions by Shark Patrol-Chipukizi Boys, Indian Ocean Patrol-Mwamba Boys and Jogoo Patrol-Jasiri. Its is not the first time it ahs happened that the troop is reprsesnted inall the categories. The same has occured since 2008.
in last year's National competitions we emerged tops in all the three categories bringing home the trophies for a second year in in a row. This time round we are going out full throttle to work hard towards retaining all the three titles. if that happens "Inshaallah" we shall qualify to represent Kenya at the Eastern Africa Zonal competitions due to be held at Bahati National Camp in Morogoro,Tanzania in early December.
We are aware that retaining the trophie wont be easy as other troops are also working towards the same. However, we believe in ourselves and we are well prepared, equipped, motivated and upto the task. With God's Grace wwe are confident of success in the spirit of The Bandari Anthem

KPA Sea Scouts Troop Goes International
The year 2011 will forever remain entrenched in the history of the Troop in a very special way. Just halfway through the year, the troop has made tremendous strides in Scouting. Apart from retaining the District and Provincial Trophies in the Annual Inter Patrol Scouts Competitions, the Troop has made two major steps into the global Scouting Arena.
It all began way back in 2007 when Zablon Samba, Then a Chipukizi Scout, was part of the contingent that reprsented Kenya at the 21st World Scout Centenary Jamboree in the United Kingdom. This year saw other members of the troop step out to represent the Troop and the Country in two major international Scouting events.
From 9th to 19th July 2011, Rover Nelson Ochieng Opany, who is also the Assistant Group Scout Leader was in the Arab Republic of Egypt as the sole Kenyan representative to the 14th International Youth Gathering for Cultural Exchange; that was held in Cairo, Alexandria and Giza.By extension he also served as the representative of the Africa Scout Region.
Just afew days after his return, the Group Scout Leader Mr. James Ngondi and Raywine Mkonambi, a Mwamba/Senior Scout flew out to Sweden to attend the 22nd World Scout Jamboree in Kristianstad, Sweden from 27th July to 7th August 2011.
If this is anything to go by, we believe it is an indication of many more opportunities to come. However we dont brag about our achievements but attribute it to hardwork and the graces of God. Our Scout are always committed to doing scouting not for any reward at all but becxause of the undying passion and love they have for it.
At Kenya Porst Authority we believe in hardwork, discipline and Fear of God as the source of success and real happiness. For this reason we are committed to always do our best in everything. We love Scouting and that is why we always Excel.

My dear brothers and sisters in Scouting,
It is with great joy and honor that I stand before you today as we come to the end of this 14th International Youth Gathering for Cultural Exchange. I feel especially happy because of the beautiful moments we have shared during our stay in this wonderful country of Egypt.
On behalf of my colleagues from Africa Scout Region present here and on behalf of all the Scout Associations of Africa, The Africa Scout Regional Office and all the people of Africa; I wish to convey our most sincere and heartfelt gratitude to the Arab Scout Region and the people of Egypt. We do not take for granted the opportunity you gave us to be part of this very memorable event. Thank you for your support and hospitality.
In a very special way, allow me to appreciate Dr. Mahmoud, Dr. Anwar, Montaser and the entire organizing committee for their hard work in preparing and running this event successfully. We are grateful and very proud of you.
To the People of Egypt;
You have a very beautiful country endowed with very many precious things. Despite the tough times that you are going through at this moment in your political history, you have all reasons to proud of your country. I ask you to appreciate this and never take it for granted. For your friendship and brotherhood we say, "Ahsante Sana" meaning thank you very much.
To my Fellow Participants;
We have had a most wonderful and memorable time together. Though it was short-lived, it is my hope that the love, friendship and brotherhood formed between us will last and grow stronger over the years to come.
